Stained glass you can eat

A fun and simple science experiment to make colourful stained glass and find out all about light.

Watch the IET video with YouTube channel ‘Science with Bexy’ and download our free worksheet from our site to join in the fun this Christmas! While you’re doing this fun and easy experiment, you will find out all about light and how it passes through different materials. You may have learned about light in science. Think about some of the science that you have learnt during these lessons, for example, transparent, opaque, and translucent. Do you know what these mean? Which words would you use to describe your edible stained glass once it is finished...and can you use it as a decoration this Christmas?

Download our free activity sheet below to get creative.

Oh ho ho, and please do share your experiment highlights with us @IETeducation #SantaLovesSTEM
