Primary resources connected to transport

Transport is all around us. We use it to get to school and work and to go on holiday or for days out but we also use it to move products and materials around the world and even in to space. Without transport, our lives would be very different.

In this set of resources learners aged 6 to 11 year-olds, can build cars powered by air and wind, design and make a card model of a car body or try a maths based challenge to find stations on a rail network by their journey times.

Share your transport activities with us on social media using @IETEducation

Please note, these resources and experiments have been specifically designed to be carried out with adult supervision or direction as appropriate, and it is recommended that the instructions are followed in a safe manner. All resources and experiments are carried out at your own risk.

If you enjoyed the activities around transport, why not try some about the future of flight too?
