Prior to this she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering.
Here she developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm for predictions and auto-corrections for touch-screen keyboards and wearable devices.
As a child, Shaona was fascinated by the ability of computer algorithms to solve problems. At 22 she built a prototype that automated revenue collection in seven solar PV power plants in her home country, India.
Shaona is a member of Cambridge Robogals, which aims to get girls interested in STEM through coding and robotics, and she is currently working on opening a chapter in India.
