We have a pool of Education Volunteers spanning the whole of the UK, who can, upon request and availability, support local schools and youth organisations’ STEM activities including; careers talks, science fairs, and Girlguiding and Scout Association meetings.
They represent us in promoting a better understanding of engineers and the contribution engineering makes to society, they often work closely with local STEM organisations, including local STEM Ambassador hubs.
Utilising the education resources we provide, ranging from information on engineering careers to in-person practical activities, they assist with the aim of promoting STEM subjects and engineering careers to children and young people aged 4 to 19.
All of our Education Volunteers are Enhanced DBS/PVG checked and receive mandatory training, including; Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk training, Code of Conduct, Data Protection, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Guidance and support are also provided by the Education Volunteer Coordinator.
Be sure to check out our Education A-Z page where you can find links to all of our education and early career resources, including our primary learning resources, secondary learning resources and careers packs all of which are free of charge for you to download and use at your pleasure.
