Sponsoring IET education programmes
IET Education programmes give young people the chance to explore real-world engineering, build essential future skills and discover where a career in STEM could take them.
Sponsorship enables organisations to inspire the next generation, widen participation in engineering and technology, and make a meaningful contribution to diversity, social mobility and community impact.
Our programmes reach tens of thousands of young people across the UK and internationally. With your support, more schools and community groups can access the equipment, resources and experiences they need to participate.
Why sponsor an IET education programme?
Inspire the next generation
Hands-on engineering challenges spark curiosity, build confidence and help young people see themselves as future engineers, innovators and problem solvers.
Support diversity and inclusion in STEM
Sponsorship helps reduce the biggest barriers to participation, including cost, lack of equipment, limited teaching capacity and low awareness of engineering careers. Your support opens doors for underrepresented and disadvantaged groups.
Strengthen your future talent pipeline
These programmes reach young people at a formative age when they are developing interests and shaping ideas about what they can achieve. Sponsoring an IET programme offers early engagement with future talent across a wide range of communities.
Create meaningful employee engagement
Your staff can volunteer as judges, mentors, or STEM ambassadors, gaining leadership, communication, and coaching experience while contributing to genuine social impact.
Enhance your brand and sector leadership
Sponsors benefit from association with nationally recognised programmes, visibility across events and resources, and the opportunity to showcase how their organisation contributes to engineering and technology for good.
IET Faraday® Challenge Days
IET Faraday® Challenge Days introduce young people aged 10 to 15 years to engineering through a fast-paced, creative, real-world design challenge. Students work in teams to design and prototype a solution to an engineering problem, taking on roles, budgeting, testing ideas and presenting their final concept.
