FIRST® LEGO® League is a global science and technology competition for teams of young people, to encourage an interest in real world issues and develop key skills that are crucial for their future careers.

FIRST® LEGO® Discover is for 4-6 year-olds

Ignites curiosity in young children, whilst developing their habits of learning.

STEAM parks

As well as the FIRST® LEGO® League Discover model, you will need to purchase some LEGO® STEAM parks – we recommend a minimum of one set between two groups, but one per group is preferable.

FIRST® LEGO® League Explore is for 6-9 year-olds

Challenges teams to develop their coding, communication and problem-solving skills whilst researching real-world themes.

SPIKE™ Essential or WeDo 2.0

You will need a LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential  or WeDo 2.0 set to complete the Challenge. These are available from any LEGO® Education distribution partner such as Raising Robots and Creative Hut.

FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge is for 9-16 year-olds

Teams work to build and program an autonomous robot, research real-world problems, and develop crucial life skills.

MINDSTORMS® or SPIKE™ Prime

Within FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge, each team needs access to a set of LEGO® MINDTORMS® (core set as a minimum) or SPIKE™ Prime (core and expansion set as a minimum).
