The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is a UK-based not for profit organisation established with the support of its founding members (including the BBC) in September 2016 to secure a legacy for the original BBC Make It Digital project in which a million micro:bits were given to UK school children.
The Micro:bit Educational Foundation mission guides them to support exceptional educational programmes across the globe.
International STEM competitions for schools
Greenpower Education Trust is a UK based charity with an outstanding track record in kick starting careers in engineering, helping unlock potential and spark enthusiasm for STEM through the excitement of motorsport.
Teams of students aged 9 to 25 from across the globe compete at Greenpower events in the UK and other countries including USA, Poland and China. The annual International Final takes place at venues such as the UK's Silverstone National Circuit and Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Fun Kids Radio
The UK's children's radio station for kids, families and parents. You can listen on DAB Digital Radio nationwide, online and mobile. The IET and Fun Kids have developed several series of short audio programmes, videos and now a comic book for 7-11 year olds called ‘Techno Mum’ which aims to explain the technology that young people see around them.
