Secondary resources connected to transport

Resources on methods of transport and transport networks.

Transport is all around us! We use it to get to school and work and to go on holiday or for days out but we also use it to move products and materials around the world and even in to space! Without transport, our lives would be very different!

In this set of resources learners aged 11- to 16-year-olds, can learn about different methods of transport, navigation, forces and fuels.

Discover the problems of today’s transport and design a car of the future, take to the skies and learn the lift equation used by aerospace engineers to determine the necessary characteristics of an aircraft to enable flight or maybe navigate to a destination without technology. You could also help Network Rail accommodate more passengers, keeping them safe, comfortable and happy on their railway journeys.

Remember all our online resources are free to download. And please do share you learning highlights with us @IETeducation

Please note, these resources and experiments have been specifically designed to be carried out with adult supervision or direction as appropriate, and it is recommended that the instructions are followed in a safe manner. All resources and experiments are carried out at your own risk.

If you enjoyed these transport activities, why not try these flight focused resources too?
