Celebrate Bonfire Night with our set of new and engaging curriculum-led activities. Use our free and editable resources to inspire your students.

A series of resources aimed at 11-14 year olds (KS3/S1-3) to aid their understanding of basic electronics, develop programming skills, make use of programmable components and embed intelligence into a product design.

Chinese New Year

Celebrate the Chinese New Year with us by completing the Chinese zodiac code breaker, or go creative with some Chinese calligraphy or making your own erhu, we have a range of activities to get pupils thinking about different cultures and traditions from around the world.

They include different topics and various durations as well as a fully editable lesson plans, which can be adapted as necessary.

D&T worksheets

We have produced 18 worksheets designed to support GCSE D&T learning.

These worksheets are aimed at home learning and ideal for parents to just pick up and run with as well as for teachers to send home for revision tasks as all include a what you need to know section and an example of a calculation - as well as the answers - making these ideal for independent use.

Diwali

See your student’s faces light up with these engaging curriculum-led resources marking Diwali, the festival of lights.

Students can use their maths skills to estimate the number of objects in an image, or estimate the radius of a light circle produced by a shining torch in another activity designed to focus on STEM skills while learning about light. Or for a design and technology lesson, discuss how fiber optic cables use light to send information. Then for science, brighten their faces when you teach how to investigate the photovoltaic effect. This year's competition for 4-13 year olds will unite sports enthusiasts, space explorers, designers and innovators, and of course, those who just like to have fun!

Future Flight

In partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), we have created a series of resources that look at the future of flight.

These fun resources get students to apply STEM subjects to develop solutions in various different ways. For example, they could design a system to drop emergency aid pallets from an aircraft, make a model of an electric aircraft engine, or consider lighting in a cabin to help relax passengers. All whilst thinking about sustainability, renewable energies and modern technologies.

Maths resources

Maths at secondary school is such an important subject for your students to understand and master. It allows them to use their logic and reasoning skills to understand everyday tasks from shopping to sports and everything in between!

In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and even music and art.

National Earth Day

To celebrate National Earth Day and consider ways in which we can all be more eco-friendly, we have come up with some new resources to support your teaching in this area.

These practical activities help your students explore a range of topics using hands-on approaches. We have also included links to our relevant posters and recent Engineer a Better World campaign looking at greener jobs of the future.

National Inventors' Day

National Inventors’ Day celebrates inventors of the past, the creators of the present, and encourages the architects of the future.

With resources where you can design a hoverboard or solar powered night-light on your own to those where groups of students can work together to tackle some of the topical issues facing the world today, we’re sure there will be something for all those aspiring young inventors to work on whether at home or at school.
