Chinese New Year resources

Chinese New Year marks the transition between zodiac signs with celebrations typically lasting for up to 16 days. 2025 is the year of the Snake; 2024 was the Year of the Dragon; 2023 was the Year of the Rabbit.

Celebrate with us by completing the Chinese zodiac code breaker, or go creative with some Chinese calligraphy or making your own erhu, we have a range of activities to get pupils thinking about different cultures and traditions from around the world.

Download the free resources below! And please do share your learning highlights and final creations with us on social media @IETeducation or send them via email to IETEducation@theiet.org to be featured in our online gallery.

If you enjoyed these Chinese New Year resources, why not try our Easter activities too?
