Bonfire night activities

Celebrate Bonfire Night with our set of new and engaging curriculum-led activities. Use our free and editable resources to inspire your students.

For an engaging design and technology or science lesson, your students can investigate a decade counter circuit and compare it to a programmable counter, learn how to develop a protocol for communications using an electrical circuit, or create an accessible information display system for people with disabilities. Bring real world discussions into the classroom and have your pupils thinking like engineers this bonfire night. And for a cross-curricular activity covering maths and physics, discuss safety issues through interpreting data and exploring solutions that will prepare them for a life-long passion for engineering.

Use our free and editable resources to engage and inspire in the classroom or outdoors, and follow @IETeducation to find more STEM activities and to share your creations with us.

Please note, these resources and experiments have been specifically designed to be carried out with adult supervision or direction as appropriate, and it is recommended that the instructions are followed in a safe manner. All resources and experiments are carried out at your own risk.
