Supporters

With your help, we can continue working to engineer a better world inspiring young people into exciting engineering and technology careers where they can make a difference.

We offer opportunities from a one-off donation toward developing an individual resource through to the annual sponsorship of our entire teaching resources programme.

For information on any of our supporter opportunities, please get in touch.

Addressing the skill shortage

In the UK we do not have enough young people pursuing science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects.

As the gateway to roles in engineering and technology, young people are missing out on exciting career opportunities and employers are facing recruitment issues and skills shortages.

Here at the IET, we’re working to change this.

Enhancing teaching and inspiring future engineers

Our education programme offers free support to teachers, careers information and hands-on activity days that engage students with STEM subjects.

Teaching resources

Your support will help us to continue developing up-to-date materials that complement the UK STEM curriculum and help teachers to teach subjects in context. Wherever possible we’ll work with you to include the work of your organisation in our resources.

Our free resources range from posters to video case studies and directly support curriculum teaching in science, maths, design & technology, engineering and computing.

IET Faraday® Challenge Days

Our IET Faraday® Challenge Days grow every year so that we can reach more and more schools, but this can only happen with the help of our sponsors and supporters.

IET Faraday® Challenge Days are free, hands-on STEM activity days that introduce students to engineering, inspire them to consider engineering as a career and help to develop their practical and employability skills.
