Follow us to Santa’s STEM Workshop to bring a bit of Christmas magic to the whole family with our fun, Christmas-themed STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) activities.
Santa’s STEM workshop is packed full of inspiring ideas for families to do together in the lead-up to and over the festive holiday season.
Children can join Santa and his helpers to make, create, imagine and discover this Christmas.
Our fun craft ideas, recipes, hands-on experiments and resources provide STEM-inspired learning through play and will certainly get everyone in the festive spirit.
From glittery slime to making your own advent calendar; sewing your own Christmas stocking or having a parachute to deliver your presents safely on Christmas morning, there are so many different craft ideas to choose from.
For the Christmas bakers out there, why not try your hand at some festive baking with Rudolph-shaped cookies or edible snowmen?
Christmas tree ornaments made from salt dough are also on the menu which will get the kids whizzing about the science and maths behind the final creation.
Make sure you try our outdoor scavenger hunts or eye spy activities, which link to problem-solving and discussion about the world around us – all designed to get their inner engineer buzzing during the festive season.
Conduct experiments looking at how reindeer treats react to different household items, make exploding snowmen or make a trap to detect Santa!
There is an exciting array of ideas to keep the biggest of kids entertained!
We hope you’ll visit Santa’s STEM workshop this year and help us spread the word to your friends and family.
If you also take the opportunity to try any of the activities, then we’d love to see your final creations or ideas, so please share your pictures on our social media channels @IETeducation using #SantasSTEMworkshop or #SantalovesSTEM.
We can’t wait to see them!
